Stratovarius - discografia

 

Stratovarius, surgiu em 1984, com Tuomo Lassila, baterista e vocalista; John Vihervã, baixista e Staffan Strahlman, guitarrista. Seu nome é uma mistura do modelo Stratocaster da Fender com a marca de violinos Stradivarius. Ainda no começo, Timo Tolkki assume o posto de guitarrista e também o vocal da banda.Após o lançamento de Fright Night, em 1989 e Stratovarius II, em 1992, (que em seguida foi renomeado para Twilight Time), o grupo já gozava de grande prestígio na Europa e no Japão, porém assim que terminou a turnê de Dreamspace, terceiro álbum da banda, Timo Tolkki resolveu que era hora de buscar um novo vocalista para a banda, para ajudar ainda mais no desenvolvimento, e assim Timo Kotipelto, assume os vocais em 1995, já na gravação de Fourth Dimension.
